Jamaica Bay

"You see a lot of weird things in New York besides the people," said one New York City fisherman interviewed for the documentary, "Gotham Fish Tales." Horseshoe crabs have existed on earth for approximately 1.2 billion years. Residing in Jamaica Bay, creatures of this enduring species have what it takes to survive in New York: a hard exterior and a high tolerance for pollutants. (http://www.nycgovparks.org)
