A tattoo shop where you can choose from standard flash as well as designs by artists from Mexico. One of the tattoos displayed is of the Mexican actor and comedian, Tin-Tan (1915-1973). His real name was Germán Valdés and he was born in Mexico City. In many of his movies he often wore the iconic pachuco dress of the zoot suit and used its slang known as caló (this is a mix of Spanish and English used by Mexican immigrants during the 30s and 40s; the pachuco subculture itself had started in El Paso, TX and migrated up to Los Angeles), thus introducing the pachuco to Mexico. He was featured in many films during Mexico’s Golden Age of Cinema in the 40s and 50s.
